Chris Lowery Announces Campaign Kickoff Event for Jefferson County Sheriff
PINE BLUFF, AR — The Chris Lowery for Sheriff campaign is proud to announce its official Campaign Kickoff Event, set for Monday, November 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hestand Stadium, 420 N. Blake Street in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
The event marks the beginning of Chris Lowery’s campaign to serve as Sheriff of Jefferson County, where he plans to bring integrity, accountability, and strong community-based leadership to local law enforcement. The evening will feature a barbecue dinner, community fellowship, and an opportunity for residents to meet Chris and learn more about his vision for the Sheriff’s Office.
Tickets are $25 and include a Barbecue Plate Dinner, Drink, and Cookie. All proceeds will go toward campaign efforts to engage voters and share Chris’s message of public service and reform.
“This campaign is about working together to make Jefferson County safer, stronger, and united,” said Lowery, candidate for Sheriff. “I want to bring back trust and transparency to our Sheriff’s Office and ensure that every resident feels supported and protected. I’m excited to start this journey with our community.”
The event is open to the public, and all supporters, community members, and media representatives are encouraged to attend.
Guests will also have the opportunity to donate, sign up to volunteer, and get involved in the campaign to help spread the word throughout Jefferson County.

Chris Lowery Announces Candidacy for Jefferson County Sheriff
Jefferson County, AR – Chris Lowery, a lifelong resident of Jefferson County and dedicated public servant, has officially announced his candidacy for Sheriff. With over two decades of law enforcement experience and more than 22 years of military service, Lowery brings a proven record of leadership, integrity, and commitment to public safety.
“I am proud to announce my candidacy for Jefferson County Sheriff,” said Lowery. “As Sheriff, I will work tirelessly to build a more transparent department, strengthen relationships with the community, and collaborate with local agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of every resident.”
Lowery holds the highest level of Arkansas law enforcement certification (CLEST), has completed over 3,500 hours of specialized training, and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He currently serves as a First Sergeant in the Arkansas Air National Guard and has built a career of 22 years in law enforcement operations, including service as a canine officer.
As Sheriff, Lowery pledges to:
Be tough on crime while building trust between law enforcement and the community.
Keep the county jail open to ensure no one charged with a crime is turned away.
Promote transparency and accountability within the Sheriff’s Office.
Strengthen partnerships with local leaders and law enforcement agencies to improve public safety and streamline operations.
Lowery’s campaign is guided by a set of core values rooted in his military service and personal convictions: Integrity First, Service Before Self, Excellence in All We Do, Community Engagement, Economic Growth, and Commitment to Rehabilitation Services. These principles reflect his vision for a safer, stronger Jefferson County.
Born and raised in Pine Bluff, Lowery graduated from White Hall High School in 1992 before beginning 11 years of active-duty service in the U.S. Air Force. Today, he continues to serve with the Arkansas Air National Guard while also working in law enforcement and running a small business with his wife, Kathy. Married for 25 years, the couple has five children and ten grandchildren.
“My life has been built on service—to my family, my community, and my country,” said Lowery. “I believe that with integrity, accountability, and collaboration, we can make Jefferson County safer and more united. I humbly ask for your support as I seek to serve you as Sheriff.”
